The European Youth Information and Counselling Agency (ERYICA) is an international non-governmental, non-profit organisation, founded in 1986, and has its headquarters in Luxembourg. It is the umbrella-organisation for the national and regional agencies that offer information and counselling services to young people. The Youth Board of Cyprus has been ERYICA member since November 1999.

ERYICA’s mission is cooperation enhancement on a European and international level in the field of youth information and services.

ERYICA objectives are the following:

  1. To facilitate and support young people’s right to adequate, complete and reliable information, enhancing their empowerment and autonomy, as well as their critical thinking skills and their active participation in a democratic society.
  2. To develop, support and promote a high quality general policy on youth information on various levels, so as to satisfy young people’s needs along the principles of the European Youth Information Charter.
  3. To promote and support structures and practices of information and counselling services to young people and youth workers in the field of youth information.
